FSUIPC 4.0 Update zahlen?

warum muss man eigentlich für das FSUIPC4-Update für FSX zahlen, wenn es nach 04/2006 erworben wurde?

Ganz einfach: Weil Pete Dowson es so festgelegt hat.

Hier ein Zitat aus dem Thread 'PAYING FOR FSUIPC ... the Why and How' aus dem FSUIPC-Support Forum:

What you get if you pay:

* Facilities for joystick calibration, some fancy assignments, and button programming.

* Key press programming facilities

* A few frills like locking FS panel parts in place, removing unwanted spikes from controls (as generated, for instance, by some panels), and other assorted facilities.

* Weather filtering options including wind, pressure and visibility smoothing, but ONLY for global weather. This may be less important now, with FS2004's full local weather system operating in a much smoother way than in previous releases.

* Automatic access for all compatible application programs whether they are accredited or not. No access keys are required for programs to use a fully registered user copy of FSUIPC. This may come in especially useful for programs which are no longer maintained by their developer and therefore not likely to become accredited.

* The possibility of additional user options to come. There are a few on my list, but I cannot guarantee any until I get to them and study the implications. I am also open to requests and suggestions, as in fact I have been over that last four years -- that is how FSUIPC has become what it is.

* Support from myself for any queries or problems arising from the use of FSUIPC, or identifiable as FSUIPC even when using an application. I would still expect the application developer to be the prime support for his own application, and it is easier for him to sort out FSUIPC interfacing problems with me rather than between the user and me, if you see what I mean.

* All updates for two years, or the date of the next version of FS whenever that is.

* All this for at least the life of FS2004, provided I live that long. I cannot guarantee to continue this into and beyond FS2006 or whatever, that would really be asking too much.

diese Frage solltest Du Pete Dawson in seinem Forum stellen.

Ich persönlich finde die Angelegenheit mit der FSUIPC mittlerweile eine reine Abzocke. Pete Dawson hat die Flusigemeinde mit seinem Tool geschickt in eine Abhängigkeit gebracht, genauso wie MS mit dem Betriebssystem Windows und jetzt kassiert er wann und soviel er will.

Für mich ich es auch nicht nachvollziehbar, das man jetzt wieder zahlen muss, nur weil die Version für den FSX von 3x auf 4x hoch gezählt wird, wenn man im Frühjahr breits den vollen Preis bezahlt hat.

Müssen tut man nicht, hat auch bisher nicht!

Sämtliche Addons funktionierenten auch mit einer unregistrierten Version der FSUIPC.

Die registriert Version hat schlicht und einfach einige Features mehr.
Die Hauptfunktion der FSUIPC, nämlich Zugriff auf die Daten des FS zu bekommen - sowohl lesend als auch schreibend - bekommt man auch ohne Bezahlung.

Genau das sehe ich auch so und das werd ich in seinem Forum so wiedergeben...
Das Problem ist nur, wenn wir ehrlich sind, jeder der was aus seinem FS macht kommt ohne FSUIPC nicht mehr aus, das weiß Peter auch....

Na klar. Und den FSX hast Du auch als Freeware bekommen.
Ihr nutzt die Software und dann kann auch der Autor Kohle dafür verlangen.
Ich arbeite auch nicht für lau in meinem Job.

Ich habe mir FSUIPC 3.x im 05/2006 zugelegt (gekauft) und alle die Simmer die es vor 04/2006 FSUIP gekauft haben bekommen es kostenlos und ich nicht? Sollte es nicht eher umgedreht sein, vom Kaufdatum an 2 Jahre?

Oder gilt das nur von Neuentwicklungen?
Microsoft hat doch dieses SimConnect oder wie das heißt.
