I've thought about this a while ago with a view to making a tool ... and partially reverse engineered the .agn format for trees in about an hour.

Gmax consumes my limited scenery design time at the moment (I will release my scenery one day....) but if anyone wants to look at my .agn file format so far with a view to taking it further they are more than welcome.
