Wie man das Timeservice auf port 37 mit Windows verwendet weiss ich leider auch nicht....

AboutTime uses three, and provides four, time protocols. Here is a brief description of each:

Daytime/TCP, port 13. Surely the worst time protocol ever devised. Provides a simple ASCII representation of date and time, usually in local time. Not very useful except on a local network. Accurate to one second.

Time/TCP, port 37. A four-byte representation of the number of seconds elapsed since January 1, 1900, in UTC time. Accurate to one second.

Time/UDP, port 37. Like the TCP version, a four-byte representation of the number of seconds elapsed since January 1, 1900, in UTC time. Accurate to one second.

SNTP (Simple Network Time Protocol), port 123. A very sophisticated protocol, not at all simple. When I first read the specification, I said, "Simple compared to what?" But it provides excellent results - in principle, it can deliver accuracies of one millisecond or better. Because of limitations of the Intel platform, you can expect to achieve maximum resolutions of about + - 50 milliseconds on most machines.
