Netzteil is'n guter Tipp, ich selber habe auch um die 800-900 Watt, unter denen der PC garnicht starten würd...und ich habe eine 6600gt, und nur ein paar platten, und 4 optische Laufwerke...

Hast schon ausprobiert ??

Ansonten ist eine Nvidia Karte natürlich auch eine sehr gute Wahl

schalte mal den automatischen neustart in der systemsteuerung aus.
vielleicht kriegst dann eine fehlermeldung.

Turn off fast writes in the Bios (if it's currently on)
-> AGP Fast Write: Disabled
-> AGP 3.0 Calibration cycle: Enabled (sicherer, langsamer)
-> DBI Output for AGP Trans: Enabled (sicherer, langsamer)
-> Search for MDA Resources: No, sucht nicht nach Pci Monochrom Adapter

Try removing ATI control panel and see how you go

abgesicherter modus:
go to the windows file direcory, delete the ati***.dll file there, then open the SYSTEM32 File delete from there, then the window drivers folder and remove the ATI files from there.
dann treiber neu installieren.
(habe ich aber noch nicht ausprobiert)

once you have install check the BIOS settign for the correct setting for the appeture on the VGA (VRAM) to make sure there is plently there.
-> Graphics Aperture Size: 64 -> 256 MB

2. throw in the disk and reinstall everything again real quick like....BUT do a custom reinstall. Do NOT install the control panel when given the optional component choices. Note that in my case this automatically unchecks the box to install the ati display drivers too...you gotta recheck them before continuing.

driver cleaner3 is a VERY good utility for removing any vendors drivers. just be SURE to read the readme. think of it as an enema

I've turned on and off VPU Recover.

Reboot.

If available increase AGP Voltage to 1.6 - 1.8 in the BIOS
Bank Interleave - ENABLE/DISABLE (toggle this setting - It will only make a difference if you have more than one memory module.)

DRAM Burst length - 4

I finally fixed my ati problem!!
I removed my sound card and I have not had a crash yet.. I have been playing for about 3 hours (Star Wars KOTOR2 ) and all is well...

Treiber ati2dvag für display-Gerät \Device\Video0 befindet sich in einer unendlichen Schleife.
Wahrscheinlich funktioniert das Gerät fehlerhaft, oder die Hardware wurde vom Gerätetreiber nicht ordnungsgemäß programmiert. Wenden Sie sich an den Hardwarehersteller, um Treiberupdates zu beziehen.

Bei mir lauft die Maschine jetzt zuverlässig. Habe aber nicht mehr gemacht als ein paar Bios-Settings geändert. Im Windows habe ich nichts herumgedreht, aber ich wollte dir die anderen Tips auch nicht vorenthalten.

Vielen Dank an alle, besonders LOM. Einiges von den Tipps hab ich schon ohne Erfolg ausprobiert. Ich hab von allem das Neueste drauf: Bios, Via-Hyperion, Treiber, ... Ich werde halt noch weiter rumtun, ich hoffe in erster Linie auf das neue Netzteil. Das Komische ist ja auch, dass es vorher mit der 9800Pro bestens ca. 18 Monate lang gefunkt hat. Die Probleme haben mit der X850XT angefangen. Mal abwarten...

DAS ist dann allerdings schon ein Anzeichen, daß das Netzteil zu schwach ist. Kauf dir aber auf jeden Fall ein gutes Netzteil, 350 Watt sind vielleicht auch nicht wirklich der große Sprung.
Und kauf dir ein Netzteil von guter Qualität.

Ich glaube, das Problem ist gelöst:
Seit ich das Tagan 480 W eingebaut habe, geht der 3D-Mark 03 ohne Hänger. Habs jetzt zweimal durchlaufen lassen und es funkt bestens. Mit dem vorherigen 330 W Netzteil ist das nicht ein einziges Mal gegangen, ist immer an derselben Stelle hängengeblieben. Zu mehr hab ich im Moment keine Zeit, denke aber , es passt jetzt.
