I dont know for sure how the panel you showed a pic of should work - the switch on the middle? What does it do? Does the radio have active and standby, but you just choose between nav and com with the switch? Or..?

no.. the switch in the middle activates the set frequency (both COM).. the active frequency (or better: the frequency shown on the display) is marked with a LED over the display (as in the picture)..
Say the active frequency is actually the left..I set the standby frequ. on the right display and toggle the switch to the right.. now the right display shows the active frequency and is the active too... and vice versa...

PS: Wozu soll das gut sein? Wenn Du das so machen würdest, hättest Du ja falsche Anzeigen (sprich: die angezeigte Frequenz würde nicht mit der gesetzten übereinstimmen)?!

naja..eigentlich habe ich keine falschen Anzeigen, wenn ich die Active durch eine LED markiere und nicht durch deren Position am Panel (dh. active immer links..)

Das Panel wie im Bild ist nicht von mir erfunden sondern wird unter anderem in der 737NG verwendet!
