Ostende und crash

für den fehler gibts einen workaround, steht im myworld-forum. Hat bei mir bestens geklappt...

FS2004 contains an ugly bug leading to a sudden crash to desktop. This has been observed at many places in the default scenery, and also, sometimes at other places with any mesh or landclass scenery. The airport of Sion in Switzerland is a famous example of it.

It was very frequent between end of november and end of december, now it can be observed less frequent, but still existing.

This bug could be pinned down to a new feature in the FS2004 grafic engine how to lay semi tranparent layers over others, like light late fall snow over grass.

If this happens to you ( we do not know if it depends on other settings or even the version of the grafics driver ), the recommended solution is:

Edit your FS9\terrain.cfg file.

Replace all appearences of
MaskClassMap=1

by

MaskClassMap=0.

If this does not help, replace

MaskClassMap=3

by

MaskClassMap=0

too, up to now it seems that this fixed all those problems.
