In FS2004, the GPS does not appear any more on the Airbus panel pedestal.

Answer
The GPS display has changed in FS2004, and it is not realistic for airliners like Airbus aircrafts. This is why it has been removed. If you want to display the new FS2004 GPS on the pedestal, do the fllowing:
In the panel.cfg file, replace the line (#120):
gauge21=gps!gps, 786, 327, 237, 237
with the line:
gauge21=fs9gps!gps_500, 786, 327, 237, 237
It works, but it is not very realistic...
