IRDA Simulator wie einsetzen?

Guten Abend,

Unter diesem Link den ich beim Googlen gefunden habt beschreibt jemand wie man unter Linux und Windows ein virtuelles Infrarotgerät einrichtet.

Wozu kann das nützlich sein? Wie kann ich jetzt das virtuelle Infrarotgerät ansprechen bzw. mit welcher Software kann ich das Ganze jetzt vernünftig nutzen bzw. testen?

On windows, go to the "Add new hardware" wizard and install the "IrDA over serial cable" driver. Because of the nullmodem cable setup, it does detect itself as an IrDA device!

You'll also need to change the hostname to "Uwatec" and reboot"
