ftp auf suse 8.0 server: Verbindung beendet durch Remotehost

Hi zusammen,

hab mir grade die Suse Linux 8.0 Professional auf meinem 2. Pc installiert. Mit telnet komm ich schon rein, das hat anfangs auch nicht funktioniert.

Aber mit ftp komm ich nicht durch.

Vom Client Windows 2000 Sp3, das ist gleichzeitig der Internet Pc mit Isdn Modem Fritz Card Usb:

Hab schon in der Suse-Supportdatenbank nach diversen Sachen gesucht, auch im Forum. Nix gefunden

Folgendes habe ich gemacht:
Yast2
Netzwerk/Basis
Start oder Stopp von Systemdiensten
inetd ein-/ausschalten:
(.) Ein, mit benutzerdefinierter Konfiguration...
Active! ftp /usr/sbin/tcpd vsftpd
Active! telnet /usr/sbin/tcpd in.telnetd

Jetzt funkt wie gesagt schon der telnet, aber ftp streikt noch immer. Ein Linux Server ohne ftp ist eine etwas blede Gschicht

hab grade alle files aus dem /tmp verzeichnis gelöscht. sowas hatte ich nämlich auch schon öfters, das einfach ein socket mit root-rechten im /tmp verzeichnis ist. hat auch nix genützt

Ich kann dir bei deinem eigentlichen Problem nicht helfen, aber eine Alternative anbieten:

FTP ist alt,unsicher und einfach wääh , probier mal ob du einen sshd zum laufen kriegst. Dann hast du folgende Optionen:

a.) Du benutzt sftp (ist im Paket von openssh dabei), das nur sshd braucht.

b.) Du benutzt http://lftp.yar.ru/ der das fish (Ftp In Secureshell) Protokoll nimmt und ALLE Vorteile einer bash hat (Autocomplete etc..).

Vorteil von beiden: Verschlüsselte Kommunikation.

Ich hoffe ich konnte dir den "Umstieg" schmackhaft machen!

hmm, jetzt muss ich schlafen gehen, ich muss morgen wieder früh raus.

zumindest gibt es mir hoffnung. na sobald ich zeit hab, werd ichs lesen.

aber wenn mir jemand sagen könnte wie ich das deppate ftp hinkriege wäre ich trotzdem sehr verbunden. denn ich muss die maschine dringend installieren und ohne ftp ist es so mühsam

übrigens: mit suse linux enterprise server 7 hats sofort problemlos funktioniert. das hat aber meine netzwerkkarte nicht erkannt. deswegen wollte ich suse 8.0 ausprobieren...

schliesse mich mal Lotussteve an, telnetd durch sshd ersetzen. dann kannst du zumindest über scp datentransfer machen...

ftp müsst ich mal auf meiner debian workstation ausprobiern, hab das bis jetzt nur auf openbsd am laufen gehabt und da hats auf anhieb funktioniert...

Hab etwas im google gestöbert, da stehen hints zum thema hosts.allow und hosts.deny.

Kann mir irgendjemand ein fertiges hosts.allow und hosts.deny posten ? Wo sozusagen alles offen ist ?

Der Linux-Rechner steht im internen Netzwerk, das auf dem Internet-Rechner mit einer Firewall geschützt ist. Sicherheitsbedenken habe ich also in diesem Fall nicht.


Ich werde mir selbstverständlich diese Tips zu Gemüte führen, ich habe nur gehofft das der Ftp Server auch irgendwie zum Laufen zu bekomen ist.

Nochwas zur Erklärung (interessant das es niemand aufgefallen ist : Der ftp-Server mit Sles7 hat natürlich nicht auf dem aktuellen Pc funktioniert. Denn ohne Netzwerkkarte wirds auch mit ftp nix werden. Aber auf dem Pc, den ich unlängst verkauft habe. Brauch jetzt nur noch 2 Pcs, da ich mir in der Arbeit einen Notebook statt des Desktops nehmen werde

das sind aber default vorgaben...

auf einem anderen meiner rechner hab i in der hosts.allow folgendes drinnen stehn:

named: ALL : severity notice
sshd: 10. : severity notice
ALL: LOCAL : severity notice
smbd: ALL : severity notice

so, hab jetzt auf debian einen ftp server installiert (proftp)

apt-get -u install proftpd

dann nach der install das config file /etc/proftpd.conf angeschaut, server name editiert, anonymous access auskommentiert und ein reload des server gemacht... funktioniert auf anhieb...

mit welchem user loggst du dich ein? ich hab bei mir zb. keinen anonymous login erlaubt sondern verwende die user die eh schon im system angelegt sind.

als root darf ich mich _NICHT_ einloggen, da krieg ich dann als antwort 530 login incorrect

welchen ftp server verwendest du?
