Pegasus Mail 4.01
HEUTE
Zitat:
It has taken -
* 15 months of development
* More than 200,000 lines of new code
* 12,000 mail messages posted on the beta test mailing list
* More than 2,500 functional changes to the program...
.... but after all this, Pegasus Mail v4.01 is finally available for public
release.
Our web pages will be updated in due course, but in the meantime, you
can retrieve v4.01 using any of these URLs:
ftp://risc.ua.edu/pegasus/winpmail/w32-401.exe
ftp://ftp.usm.maine.edu/pegasus/winpmail/w32-401.exe
ftp://pegasus.topnz.ac.nz/pegasus/winpmail/w32-401.exe
I apologize that our European FTP site is still not operational - getting
that working again will be an urgent priority once the release of v4.01 is
complete.
Pegasus Mail v4.01 represents the beginning of our strategy for the
future - the internal underpinnings of the program have been totally
overhauled in preparation for a succession of new features in upcoming
releases - and there won't be any more 15 month development times,
either: our public goal from this point is to make formal releases no
more than 4 months apart, and to have regular public beta releases for
those interested in them.
I am sorry it has taken so long to bring this new work out for you - it has
been a much more arduous process than I ever expected, but I believe
you will like the results: no version of the program has ever been so
extensively tested or so microscopically critiqued.
I and the members of my beta test team hope you will download and
enjoy the fruits of our labour, and that our "baby" will serve you well and
faithfully for many years to come.
Cheers!
David Harris
