Lutz ----------------------------------------------------------------- Airbus A32X CFM soundset for FSHotSFX and FSHotSeat, V2.0 16th February 2006. To use these sounds you must have one of the above programs installed. It can be obtained from FSHotSeat.com. This soundset will add CFM56 sounds for use by A32X AI aircraft. Firstly my thanks go to Mike Maarse who supplied me with the original sounds used. Thanks again for all your help Mike. And to Marcelo Maia who did most of the testing of the sounds. Thanks Marcelo for saving me so much time. In this zip you will find the following files. Readme.txt This read me file. A32X_CFM_V2_PWR.wav CFM56 at full power A32X_CFM_V2_RVR.wav CFM56 reverse thrust A32X_CFM_V2_SPOOL.wav CFM56 spooling up The following assumes that you know how to manually edit the aircraft.cfg file. To install these sound copy all the .wav files to your FSHotSFX AIBSound directory. If you don't have your A32X's in separate engine types, please do the following. To get the different sounds for each engine type you must split the CFM56 and IAEV2500 types into separate directories. i.e A319CFM A319IAE A320CFM A320IAE A321CFM A321IAE Copy all the CFM textures, model, air files etc to the CFM directories and IAE textures etc to the IAE directories. IMPORTANT. Back up your aircraft.cfg file first in case something goes wrong!!! The longest job is to remove the redundant entries i.e. All the IAE aircraft from the CFM config file and them to renumber starting at [fltsim.0] and increasing by one until you finish. This is necessary as the aircrafts configuration file is modified to point to the new sounds for each engine type. Sorry about this but that's how it works! At the bottom of the aircraft config file in your A32X CFM56 directory you will find the following entry, or something very similar. [FSHS_AIBLAST] OldName=Airbus NewName=aiRBus Add the following under this header. SndPower=A32X_CFM_V2_PWR SndRev=A32X_CFM_V2_RVR SndSpool=A32X_CFM_V2_SPOOL You end up with:- [FSHS_AIBLAST] SndPower=A32X_CFM_V2_PWR SndRev=A32X_CFM_V2_RVR SndSpool=A32X_CFM_V2_SPOOL OldName=Airbus NewName=aiRBus Do the same for all the A32X CFM56 directories that you have. Start FSHotSFX. Enter the SET menu and hit the "Refresh AI Aircraft" button on the first page so the config changes are registered. Start Flight Simulator and go to an airport of your choice, sit next to one of the active runways and enjoy your new sounds. |
