Liebe Leute. Wenn ihr schon nicht wisst was "non-free" bei Ubuntu/Debian Linux bedeutet, dann bitte schriebt nicht irgendetwas hin

Als "non-free" werden Pakete bezeichnet die nicht 100% freie Software enthalten, z.B. Lizenztechnische Einschränkungen haben oder durch Patente belastet sind.

Unrar verwendet seine eigene restriktive Freeware Lizenz (Punkt 2) und ist daher non-free

Es gibt mittlerweile uebrigens einen RARv3-Entpacker unter LGPL als Komponente von "The Unarchiver" - leider ist er in ObjectiveC geschrieben, und bedient primaer Mac OS X. Da waere ein Port auf ANSI-C wirklich eine wunderbare Sache.
