Q. what files does the "base installer" add, how can I create a backup for the Airbus
A. when you run the "base installer" it creates the following files,,

Q. When I go to select the Airbus, it does not show up under, Current Aircraft
A. Re-run the "base installer" with nothing selected, this will re-build the aircraft.cfg file

Q. I can't see anything above the main panel
A. The default panel is the "IFR", heads down view, press "shift+2" for the "VFR" panel
note! you can change the IFR view by making the following changes to the panel.cfg file

VIEW_FORWARD_WINDOWS=MAIN_PANEL
VIEW_FORWARD_DIR=9.0, 0.0, 0.0
;VIEW_FORWARD_DIR=3.0, 0.0, 0.0
VIEW_FORWARD_ZOOM=1.0

changing the 3.0 to 9.0 will lower the outside view slightly


Q. When I press "shift+2" nothing happens
A. select, FS2002, Options, Controls, Assignments, reset default
the key commands are,

shift+2, VFR panel
shift+3, MCDU
shift+4, Pedestal
shift+5, large PFD
shift+6, large ND
shift+7, large ECAM upper
shift+8, large ECAM lower
"S", Virtual panel

Q. I can't seem to control the Airbus with just the keyboard
A. The airbus requires either a joystick or some type of flight control to operate properly

Q. I am unable to raise the gear and the radios do not work
A. check FS2002, Modules, FSUIPC, select technical tab, check "Extend battery life"

Q. the Airbus appears to climb at a high rate
A. for proper operation you must use the LoadEdit utility and enter the proper ZFW and BLOCK fuel on the MCDU, INIT page

Q. I can't hear any sounds when I start the APU
A. this is correct, you cannot hear the APU from the cockpit

Q. When I enter FROM/TO on the MDCU, INIT page I get "NOT IN DATABASE"
A. Re-run the "base installer" check only "NavData"

Q. When I enter the ZFW, I get "ENTRY OUT OF RANGE"
A. Check FS2002, Options, Settings, International, matches your LoadEdit units, US System or Metric(altimeter feet)

Q. when I use the "slew" command I loose the TAKEOFF page
A. when you "slew" the airbus thinks you are airbourne, slew slowly and press F1 prior to exiting slew mode

Q. I cannot seem to get multiplayer TCAS to display on the ND
A. this is not possible

Q. When I enter FROM/TO I get the message "UNABLE CRZ FL"
A. Readjust your INIT, CRZ FL/TEMP and check your INIT, pg 2 ZFW

Q. How to I find the TAKE OFF values for V1, VR, V2
A. Right clicking on the LSKs will auto insert the values

Q. during Take Off I get a message on the upper ECAM, T.O INHIBIT"
A. this is normal, see the manual Part 5, pg 26

Q. how do I setup the APPR phase
A. several tutorials are available at the Phoenix site, look under Support, Product manuals, Airbus Pro Series

Q. how do you reset the Nav radios to autotune
A. press CLR then LSK1L, 1R, small fonts indicates autotune
