Noch immer Refresh Rate Probleme unter 2000

Grummel ... I hab a gForce 2 GTS und an Vision Master Pro 450.
Soweit so gut, doch das dumme ist nur, das ich unter DX eine andere (miese) refresh rate habe als unter vergleichbarer Desktop Umgebung.
Seit den neuen Treiben funktionieren ja alle Frequenzen am Desktop, aber wie bringe ich das sch... MS OS dazu die selben rates im DX modus zu verwenden??
BITTE KEINE TIPPS MIT DIE reffix.exe BEINHALTEN.
Immer wenn ich das mache, das seh ich gar nix mehr

Finaly I found a workaround to fix that damn refresh rate problem with deto 21.80.. it is a bit of editing but it works:

here is what you have to do :

assuming you have allredy 21.80 installed ..let it for now ?

1.find your DETONATOR 21.80 INSTALER & UNPACK it with your favorite ZIP tool in some folder

2 in this FOLDER find the file "nv4disp.inf" open it with your favorite edit pad

3.here we come to serious EDITING : you have to know your GFX model ( If you have Geforce 2 GTS/PRO/ULTRA look for Nv15 Geforce 3 Nv20) & monitor refresh rate abilities in almost all resolutions & BPPs (look your MONITOR manual for resolutions/refresh abillities)

now with that inf opened in some EDIT pad you have to find the resolution/refresh part of the inf..it looks like that :

here is a part of my EDITING I started with 85hz before it was started with 60,70,75,..but I deleted this values letting the first value to be 85

NOW WARNING you have to be sure that your monitor can handle refresh/resolution setings you made..OK!..here a part of HIGHER resolutions edited by myself :

so you can see for exemp. that my 16bit 1024 x 768 resolution starts with 85Hz folowed by 100 & 120 ..so I still can change the resolution to take 100Hz refresh rate but my DEFAULT REFRESH rate will be 85Hz

You have to do changins for all resolutions and BPPs (8,16,32) & the same for folowing modes :

with all this 3 modes EDITED (you have to edit only one mode complitely & then only COPY/PASTE into other mode but first DELETE all under that section before COPY/PASTE) don't forget to SAVE before exiting..

4.now DEINSTAL DETO 28.81 (if they was installed) reboot & let the default XP driver to load , once in desktop open REGISTRY with regedit FIND & ERASE this :HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servi ces\nv4

5 INSTALL DETO 20.81 by hand, pointing to search the driver from your created FOLDER (where the inf is edited)..reboot & that's it..I hope!

It is only for XP because I run it..still it my work with W2K but Im not sure!
