LILO-Probleme

Die Zeile mit install hab ich selber hinzugefügt, bringt aber nix. Die Zeile in Deiner lilo.conf (map = /floppy/map) kenn ich nicht, was bewirkt denn die???

Nicht die Nerven wegschmeissen!

Erste Möglichkeit: Die map-Datei sagt LiLo beim Booten wo der Kernel liegt und wird beim Aufruf lilo -C /floppy/lilo.conf automatisch auf der Bootdisk angelegt, LiLo braucht aber einen Verwies darauf in der lilo.conf!!

Oder zweite Möglcihtkeit:
Wenn du lieber mit dem neuen Lilo booten willst, und nicht von Disk, dann trag über oder unter vga=normal die Zeile "lba32" ein, ruf LiLo auf und er sollte auch über den 1024 Zylindern booten und du brauchst kein Part/BootMagic usw.!!

Das ist das Problem!!!

Wenn ich lilo -C /floppy/lilo.conf aufrufe bekomm ich ja die Fehlermeldung, dann macht er keinen Eintrag in die lilo.conf

Also ist die Bootdisk nicht bootfähig!

Kann ich mir irgendwie selber map anlegen???

Hallo!

Nein, selber anlegen ist nicht nötig/möglich!

Hast du den Verweis auf die map in der lilo.conf stehen? Die Fehlermeldung hört sich nämlich immer noch so an als würde er probieren LiLo auf der PLATTE zu installieren und nicht auf der DISK!! Vielleicht ein kleiner Tippfehler, weißt eh, kleine Ursache.....!

Hi!

Du mußt den Eintrag map=/floppy/map in der lilo.conf haben, sonst legt der Befehl /sbin/lilo -C /floppy/lilo.conf die map-Datei gar nicht an!!!! Damit sollte das Bootdiskproblem gelöst sein! (Hoffenntlich )

War eigentlich ganz einfach!

Ich hab in der lilo.conf lba32 eingefügt, danach lilo -C /floppy/lilo.conf -&gt; DAS WAR´S!!!!!!

Bin total happy...

Du hast also den Eintrag map=/floppy/map gar nicht eingetragen? Interessant!?! Ich hab nämlich bei meiner 37,5 GB IBM den eintrag lba32 wiederum nicht! &lt;Grübel&gt;

Aber Hauptsache es geht jetzt!

Ich hab keinen map-Eintrag. Ich hab nur "lba32" eingefügt, und siehe da, LILO-bootet! Und das sogar mit grafischer Oberfläche!!!

Zur Info:
Ab 10. Februar gibt´s das neue SuSE LINUX 7.1 mit dem neuen LILO, Kernel 2.4 bzw. 2.2.18 und KDE 2.0.1.
