Hi @ all
Wow das Display will ich haben ;-)

We shouldn't offer all by the same time...
It's still six days in there, maybe I'll buy it but there is one main problem:
The Project Magenta Software is terrible expensive!

Well, what I actually wanted to say is the following problem:
I really like to know about how to connect a display or monitor to my FS and which programmes do I nedd!
I already organized to connect my FS to real switches and the next steps were to find out about displays for FMC or Radiostack or Autopilot.

Could you give me some cockpit-builder-lessons ;-)

Best Regards
Lukas

Lukas,

Have a look at my site www.airbus320.nl

I get the idea you building a boeing 737 so i cant help you much in that but basic it is the same idea. I have now here all the panels of Peter Cos. Almost all the hardware and the software of PM and AST. i use fsbus and i have now already working my whole glare set most of the overhead is done and working and both of my mcdu's work. I made myself already the whole list of offsets for the AST software that can be used with the FSbus to controle all the buttons and swichtes and lights.

The FCU i made myself because it is not possible to buy it for the airbus but it works and i like it even if it is handmade..

Everything works nice together what i have connected now and more will follow soon. For the airbus there is not much to get yet like throttle FCU radiopanels ect... if you build a boeing 737 there is a lot on the marked already and if you not that handy also ready and build like what FDS sells or CPflights all plug and play...

So for everyone much choise in different prices and different levels

@christof

Your monitor is nice but i would prefer the sony lcd because it is just flat and not a whole television set behind it. Beside the fact that i dont think it would fit all in my padestal. But you made a nice job with it

@Lukas if you need more info plz be free to ask me and i will see where i can help you with. I have now already a lot of contacts with different builders incl also the people like enrico of pm Peter cos of FDS and holger of AST ect ect. so there is always a solution for any question.

Hi Frans,

I'm sorry but that isn't my display. I just found that thing yesterday at ebay, I just wanted to know how much a small display could be. But thank you for your appreciation anyway

Greets,
Christoph

Hi Christof,

I am sorry i did misunderstood you than. But yes you right this is how small you can get them.. i have 2 of them here running.

Basic i found this trick a while back because everyone was trying to find a solution for this problem with the screen. I did run into this by the fact that i was looking for a solution as well. The use of the psone lcd is not new but i made it new to use it also for the mcdu's.

Most people did bought this lcd to use as a extra screen inside there computer on the front where normaly the cd units are. They use it as a extra information screen about temps/HD/winamp or as a extra small tv screen to watch. This brought me to the idea to see if i also could use it for the MCDU display and did talk about it with Peter Cos and have been testing it for him with the result that a lot of builders use it now.

It is a cheap and simple solution even if the quality is maybe not as good as a real flatscreen but for me perfect enouch to use.

(reason why those psone's are suddenly so populair now and belive me noone use them for the the real PSONE... just a pitty they are not made anymore because you can do nice things with them if you have more of them for this kind of prices.)

Hi @ all
Well, even if I aggrieve some Boeing fans...I don't like Boeing and the only thing I'll ever build is Airbus
If you need a CoPilot once ;-)

Currently I'm looking for a second graficcard via PCI to test a second screen.
Main problem is the money because ITRA and all of them are really exaggerated in my opinion! Did you build your Glare out of ITRA modules or screens?

Next problem to implement my first toggles is the toggle conenction to FS. Just some buttons are already connected but real toggles eg. for the NAV lights are a problem!

Nice Weekend
Lukas

HI Lukas,

I am just back from my trip to Lisboa. To answer your questions about the graficcart... just search on Ebay... you can get them there for maybe 5 - 15 euro...

About your nav light... just tell me what you want i have it all running here and i assum i can also help you to give you the correct line to put in your fsini file.. Just tell me what you use and if you have any special program to run your lights like AST (overhead panel software) or is it just only in the FS itself?

Hallo,

Rall,

If you just download the PM software you can test if it will work with the other software you use. Even if i doub it because PMDG is a complete own writen software and PM works with the FSCuip of peter Downson.

You also cant use any freeware prog because to get PM PDF/ND working you need to buy it so what would be than the point to use any freeware software if you already have PM.

I assum if you know the keysend of your software you use for the typical plane you can change the CDU keysend as well i am not quit sure how but i guess that Peter Cos can tell you or just will help you to change the basic PM keysend to any other way you want to use to send it.

Succes
