[css] Zeile

Ich möchte für ein Menü mit CSS eine horizontale Zeile erzeugen um mir eine Layout Tabelle zu ersparen.
Das ganze soll in etwa so aussehen wie die Buttons im Forum rechts oben ("mein profil" usw.).
Also:
Eintrag1 Eintrag2 Eintrag3 usw.

Jeder Eintrag soll seinen eigenen Tag bekommen, im Moment denke ich an <div>.
Nur werden <div>'s immer untereinander angeordnet. Wie kann man das ändern?
