The server is up and running..

I apologize for my absence over the past 3 days, my newborn son was in the hospital but he is ok now, we are back at home. Unfortunately cell phones aren't allowed in the hospital so nobody was able to get ahold of me.

We suffered a pretty large-scale attack (coordinated from different locations) on both of our redundant servers on the 20th. This continued until just a few hours ago when I manually pulled the plug, and identified/blocked the offending nodes. We are now resetting the system and it should be back up and running within 2 hours.

Network attacks have been pretty constant for us over the past 2 years and we have been actively fighting it improving things. After this latest attack, we will in turn be adding new security and redundancy, as well as completely re-designing the client access methods to prevent this kind of thing in the future

FWIW we already have a redundant server, we are currently already working on the 3rd ETA next week, as well as server-status pages and administrator capability (i.e. by Chris and Jim) to automatically reset servers if problems should come up.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused our users over the past couple days, and vow to put all our effort into competing the new more recoverable system should any attacks, network problems, hardware failures, or other problems come up. This will be our first priority.

Ich setze bereits Flight Env. (FE) Texturen ein.

Wollt mir soeben - ActiveSky weather Vers. 5 - zulegen.

Bei Flight1 gibt es aber auch ein Produkt - ActiceSky wxRE -. Hierbei handelt es sich wohl nur um eine reine "weather engine", oder nicht!?

Ergo. AktiveSky V5 kostet 37,99$. AktiveSky wxRE liegt bei 22,95$.
Das Eine ist eine weather engine plus Wolkentexturen, das Andere eine
Weather engine ohne Wolkentex.!

Die Kombination FE plus AS wxRE bringt das Gleiche wie FE & ASV 5
nur zu einem günstigeren Preis, oder liege ich da falsch?

Ich frage dies nur, weil ich gelesen habe, dass sich einige für die Kombination FE & ASV 5 entschieden haben, nur um später die Wolkentexturen von ActiveSky durch die von Flight Env. zu ersetzen.

wxRE ist für FS2002.
