![]() Hallo Simmer,

![]() Not sure what you mean exactly with this...
So far i know you can send a PM offset from each computer to the fsbus? It is a unic offset. The keyboard itself with the letters ect. is just based on your keyboard of your computer. I use the FDS CDU and that works perfect with the PM software.. plug and play without any problems ![]() gr. Frans

![]() Hi Frans,
thanks for coming back. My setup is 3 PCs whereby PC1 is running FS, FSBus, MCP747 and the PM MCP. PC2 runs my PM PFD / ND On PC3 I´ve got 2 monitors one runs the CDU and the other PM EICAS. I´ve built the CDU keypad myself using pushbuttons similar to Nico Kaan´s solution. So the big question now is how to program, let´s say letter "A" and route this to switch lettered "A" on my CDU keypad. Another hurdle is probably that the CDU is not the active window. So that command has to select also PC2 and CDU to make the CDU window the active one and pass on the letter "A". I read in the FSBus readme that the topmost window is selected by using the command W but it´s all still a bit too general. But it´s obviously not functional on networked PCs yet if I understood Dirk´s earlier statement correctly. So, getting an example solution for above problem would probably do the trick and help me understand a bit better. Hope you may have a proposal or may be Dirk could shortly come in and shed some light on it. Thanks and best regards Peter |

![]() Yes that dual screen will be a problem .. but you dont need to use your ecais screen for input so you could keep your CDU screen active and maybe also make sure that it will be screen nr1.
From there i assum you can send a offset to the fsbus... try it with something that is already pre set in the fsbus dropdown list by PM and see if you can switch a screen when you push a button... So far i know you also can send letters like "A" to fsbus only not sure what the offset is to use for that but maybe dirk can help you out on that. gr. Frans M

![]() Hi Frans,
this is the answer Dirk wrote on Feb.1st concerning addressing different windows on clients: " Dirk wrote: .... es gibt die fsbus-clients. Gruss Dirk Basically saying it´s not possible yet as in the current version the Window has to be active. It will be implemented into the new version. That´s what I am desperately waiting for. Best rgds Peter |

![]() Hmm,
Wonder if that will be the problem... so far i know it is more a openGL problem in combination with PM. If you have the correct videocard it doesnt matter what screen is active PM would find it anyway when a keystring is send. But lets see i dont have this situation because i have all PM progs on different comps. gr. Frans M

![]() Well, I will probably ask also in the PM Newsgroup.
I´m sure there is someone using FSBus together with PM, having an own built keypad for the CDU. BTW the Eicas can´t be left in the background as it has different pages to call for. Adressing a specific window is an essential need. Best regards Peter |

![]() Peter,
How did Nico Kaan got his self made CDU keypath working then? He must have have the same issue?.. or he use for each PM a seperate comp like i have here as well? Also wonder why you use 2 x MCP? one is 747 and one is PM? How do you controle you PFD/ND? (this still works if you dont let it be the active screen?) Dont you have delay options when you run the Ecais and CDU at the same time on the same computer? gr. Frans

![]() Hi
If I understand you right , you can sent the ASCII value of "A" to the keyboard interface ---> cdu entry of fsbus.Look at the FSUIPC explorer of fsbus for that.Put the value in the up value of your switch. You can find the ASCII values on the internet. Good luck Jan Geurtsen. |
