Three take off configurations may be used: 1+F, 2 and 3. Naturally a higher flap setting is beneficial for the ground part, especially on short runways. Flap 2 gives a good compromise for most take offs. Config 1+F may be favorable on long runways (>3300m for A340-300), when you are limited in the second segment or by an obstacle. TLF |
