If you can not obtain IE4, there are still a few ways to install the Desktop Update, but you must have a copy of IE5Setup.EXE, which is included with the Internet Explorer 5.x installation source files.

1) Make sure that you are connected to the Internet.
2) Open a DOS Prompt/Command prompt, and go to the directory where the IE5 installation source files are located.
3) Then execute the following command:

For NT4.0:
IE5Setup.exe /C:"ie5wzd /e:IE4Shell_NTx86 /I:Y"

For WIN95:
IE5Setup.exe /C:"ie5wzd /e:IE4Shell_WIN /I:Y"
