Bildwiederholfrequenz ändern...
Hallo!
Ich hab mir eben unter SuSE8.0 den powervr-Treiber für die KyroII installiert - no problem, läuft noch alles. Leider aber nur mit 75Hz Bildwiederholfrequenz  Wo kann ich diese auf 85Hz ändern? Unter Windoof läuft das einwandfrei... Danke schon im voraus!

Hallo!
Hast du "xvidtune" schon probiert? Bei mir half aber auch ein reines Erhöhen von hsync und vsync! Ciao, Steve

Hatten wir nicht schon mal dieses Thema ?? deja-vu - sogar von dir denk ich.
Aber es hat damals glaub ich nicht funktioniert... Bei Suse 8.0 muss es doch im Yast oder sonstwo eine GUI geben für das Erhöhen der Bildwiederholfrequenz - das gibts ja nicht...SaX2 heisst das Tool mit dem das geht - jetzt weiss ichs wieder, oder hast das schon probiert ? http://sdb.suse.de/de/sdb/html/wessels_sax2.html --qu

sax2 geht leider nicht, weil ich den Framebuffer ausschalten musste (vga=normal bei LILO) - sonst funkt der PowerVR-Treiber nicht!
hsync/vsync funkt leider net

Solution...
 Das xvidtune hab ich net kapiert bzw. da hat er nix geändert. Jetzt hab ich in der XF86Config bei den Modelines so lange am Pixeltakt (erste Zahl!) geschraubt, bis ich 86Hz hatte. Funkt bis jetzt einwandfrei! Danke für die Hilfe(n) und vielleicht kann mir ja doch noch jemand die Bedienung von xvidtune erklären?
