Leider hast Du Dein Profil nicht ausgefüllt, also kann ich nur vermuten. Laut Adaptec hat die BIOS-Version 1.32 ein Problem mit Mainboards, die den Intel 440BX-Chipset verwenden und ein Phoenix-BIOS verwenden.

Die Adaptec's Support Knowledgebase hat 898 Antworten bei der Suche nach "BIOS System hang 2940UW" ausgespuckt. Genau Dein Problem zu finden wäre sehr schwierig ohne genaue Angaben über Dein System.
