kurz zur Vorgeschichte, ich will WG Zimmer vermieten, stellte das Zimmer in einer Seite dafür ein und bekam nach sieben Stunden die Anfrage

War noch nicht verdächtig, geantwortet dass dies noch verfügbar ist, dann kam aber dies

Thanks for the response to my email. I have seen all the information about the room which is available on the website and i am happy to take the room.

A little about me and my profession, am Caroline Haussmann and I am 28 years old of South Africa nationality. I Speak English and a little Afrikaans . live in Pretoria, South Africa and work as a marketing consultant for an international cosmetic company based here in S.A.

I am easy going and I get along easily with most people. I work during the week and spend time with my family and friends on weekends. I love swimming during my free period, and traveling to new places and meeting people with different lifestyles and cultures.

I will be coming over to Ireland from S.A on 20th of July 2011 for Vacation and research project for a cosmetic products and am coming i need a place to stay for the period of 4 to 6 months .

My company will be financially responsible for my accommodation and other expenses for the project . Please can you let me know the total price of the room per month including all expenses and if a bond is required as well .I would also love to know a little more about yourself.

My company will issue out a cheque in your favour for one month rent and deposit. (Please note: your bank account details are not needed for safety and security reason).

You should only supply me with your full details to issue out payment to you by Cheque.Since i am ready to take the room and the price is okay by me,all i need to do is forward the details to our Director of Finance for payment approval.


I would require the following details:

1.) Your full name that will appear on the Cheque.
2.) Your Full postal address and post code where the payment should be sent to.
3.) Your contact phone number (home & mobile).

Mich würde nun interesieren wie der Betrug ausgesehen hätte, den Scheck werde ich ja so oder so nicht sehen. Fällt das in den Bereich Geldwäsche?

Hi there!

Ein Kunde von mir, welcher ein Hotel betreibt, wurde auf dieselbe Masche angeschrieben. Den Scheck würdest sehen, aber aus "internen" Gründen wäre der viel zu hoch ausgestellt. Das Retourgeld würdens in realem Geld erwarten, der Scheck würde kurz vor der Frist platzen (kann bis zu 10 tage dauern).

Eine Meldung an Polizei etc. ist sinnlos.

Ich würde auch nie welche annehmen in Zeiten von Online-Banking

Das stimmt nicht ganz, in Italien ist die Bezahlung mit Schecks ist ganz normal.

Durchaus sind Schecks noch aktuell, aber praktisch nur merh Verrechnungsschecks.

Man kann einen Scheck auch auf Deckung prüfen lassen, nur das dauert und kostet Gebühren.
Es reicht aber meist die Mitteilung, daß der Scheck, vor allfälliger Überweisung, geprüft wird, dann ist meist Ruhe.
Auch die typischen "Erbschaftsmeldungen" fallen in diese Schema.

Da warst du lange nicht in Frankreich, dort sind diese leider noch immer gegenwärtig. Habe mein Motorrad dort mit Scheck bezahlt, war aber ansässig.

Mir war schon klar dass es Betrug ist, darum habe ich das weitergespielt weil es mich interesiert hat wie das endet. Die Emails sind CopyPaste, und mit einem Blick auf die Adresse solltet ihr sehen das der Scheck niemals zu mir kommen wird.
