Ich kann zwar nicht im Detail auf die technischen Details eingehen. Aber es ist wirklich der Schub, der sich erhöht.

"Descent in Icing Conditions

Engine and Nacelle Icing

The distance required for descent will increase with the use of anti-ice due to associated increase in thrust. If Nacelle Anti-Ice is anticipated the DESCENT FORECASTS page of the FMS CDU should be selected, and the TAI/ON altitude lin (altitude where anti-ice will be turned ON) should be programmed. This be accomplished prior to start of the descent to allow the FMC to calculate an accurate descent path."

oder aus dem BOEING Flight Crew Training Manual, p. 3.18
"Engine Icing During Descent

The use of anti-ice and the increased thrust required increases the descent distance. Therefore, proper descent planning is necessary to arrive at the inital approach fix at the correct altitude, speed, and configuration. (...)"

Nachdem der primäre Parameter für Schub in der 747-400 entweder N1 oder EPR, je nach installiertem Triebwerk, ist, macht es auch Sinn, daß sich N1 als Indikator für "idle thrust" erhöht. Die Auswirkungen auf den Descent Path stellt Boeing deutlich dar.
