![]() Zitat:
a real level d sim is so expensive because the software is custom made. not only the glass cockpit and the system logics but also the flight model and the visuals. A level D does NOT use PM and FS9 ;-) The glass cockpit software of a level d is the real software interfaced to a virtual world. All parts in a level D sim are REAL parts. Just a few examples: the lcd as used for the pfd, nd, eicas costs 150.000 US$ each start switch: over 2000 $ real APU switch 350 $ Gen switches 180 $ each CDU 150.000 $ (and thats only the cdu...so the control unit...and not the actual fmc (computer) etc etc All parts are real....all parts are MILL spec. I have a radio here out of a level D 747-300 sim. Its exactly the same Gables control head like in the real aircraft. All parts are FAA approoved...even the tiniest screw.... 1000's of hours of coding for the software....etc THAT makes the real sims so expensive. ;-) Stef...
