Hi Jan,

did you wire the 12 stage rotary as rotary? Also the Switch type should be selected for 12 stage rotary. Can´t think of any thing else causing such strange effect.

BTW:
I, myself never used the 12 stage rotaries, but the Alps (same system like Knitter but metal construction) and no problem. Luckily I found a source here in Munich, a kind of surplus shop, where you can get those rotaries incl. a push in switch for about 1 € each.
They are small and work like a charme.
