PM CDU und FS auf gleichem PC?

Hallo,

wer hat einen erfolgreichen Setup bei dem die Projekt Magenta CDU und FS 2004 auf dem selben Rechner laufen? (2 Monitorbetrieb)

Suche nach einer Lösung für die Ansteuerung der Tastatur der CDU über FSBus. Wenn möglich direkte Buchstabeneingabe unter Umgehung der FSBus eigenen Maussteuerung. (Positionierungsproblem)

Hi Frans,

thanks for your posting.

My setup is as follows:

PC1 (3000+) = FS + MCP (PM) + MCP747 (Aerosoft HW)+ AS + FSBus + CDU HW -> Beamer

PC2 (1000) = PM EICAS + CDU + SA_wxr -> 2 Monitors (CDU + EICAS)

PC3 (700Mhz) = PFD / ND -> 1 Monitor

I´d like to control the CDU and Eicas by FSBus, using key commands rather than FSBus mouse clicks.
I´ve built the HW for the EFIS and EICAS using switches and rotaries (Knitter). The CDU HW is similar to the one Nico Kaan has made (simply push-buttons).
Is it posible to control Eicas and CDU (on same PC but different monitors)by FSBus, as to my knowledge, FSBus can address a certain Pc but not a window (yet?).

In other words the commands are going straight to the active window.

How could that be done?

Any hint highly appreciated.

I think i know what your problem is i have the same problem with mine when i look to the mcdu input and have on that same computer SA-WXR running ( what by the way doesnt work...) On the moment that i have activate the SA-wxs window i cant use my MCDU and i have a hardware version so the keyinput will not send it to the software. I need to make the MCDU screen active to get it working. ( the SA-wxs works still than because it gets input from the NETDIR folder)

I dont build a boeing so i am not familair with the Eicas of PM but i assum it will work in the same way as the rest and needs to be active when you want to change screens. ( That is the nice part of the AST airbus software it will not having that problem)
I know in the past that i also used the ECAM (same as your EICAS)of PM but i had it installed on a second comp so i didnt had that problem.

So far i know you right you cant send a offset key to a certain window yet when you use more screens on 1 PC.

I dont know if it is possible to change the MCDU to the 3 pc where you have the pfd/nd running? I assum that the pdf/nd gets the input from your MCP... i only dont know if it will show the same problem like you would have now.

Otherwise i think there is nothing else at this moment than to think about computer NR.4

I will see enrico of PM next saterday and i will ask him the question as well and see if he maybe have a solution for this problem.

was meinst Du mit FSUIPC Schnittstelle über FSBus?
FSBus hat m.W.schon die meisten PM offsets eingebaut.
Mein Problem ist, dass alle Befehle nur im activen Fenster zu einer Wirkung führen.

Dirk sagte doch letzthin, dass er dabei ist eine Adressiermöglichkeit zu schaffen, damit der Befehl nur an das zuständige Fenster, egal ob activ oder nicht, geschickt werden kann und das auch an vernetzte PCs.
Soweit ich weiß geht so etwas momentan nur auf dem PC auf dem auch FSBus-server läuft.

Wie machen das wohl die anderen?? Kann mir nicht vorstellen, dass man sich da ein Cockpit mit mehreren PCs zusammenbaut und dann immer noch mit der Maus rummachen muss.
