![]() Moin,
habe mir nun endlich MyWorld 2004 zugeleget.

![]() MyWorld2004 is intended as an „Install and Forget“ software enhancing your FS2004 experience. Some hints may help to get the outmost from it.
Scenery Priority: MyWorld2004 gets installed into FS2004 with the highest priority so that you see it placed above all other scenery. This is usual to add the newest scenery at the highest priority. Since MyWorld2004 is an all world enhancement, you maybe do want other sceneries to have higher priorities. This may be addon sceneries of smaller areas, or aerial photo sceneries including those supplied by MS together with the full install of FS2004. Therefore you may want to reduce the priority of MyWorld2004. A reasonable setting is to reduce it below all the aerial photo sceneries supplied by Microsoft by using the scenery library dialog in the settings dialog of FS2004. This also fixes the fact that MS was lazy with the coastlines in the New York area and made them incomplete, so that a class scenery introduces buildings where there should be water. MaskClassMap Bug in FS2004: FS2004 has a nasty bug that leads to crashes to desktop. This can be found at several places in the default scenery as well as with all mesh and class sceneries, where it can appear at different locations – so you might get the impression the mesh or class has a bug. It was very frequent between Nov 21st and Dec 21st and still is found at some place, most likely it will disappear in spring. It could be pinned down to a function in the terrain engine of FS2004 that places semi transparent textures over others, like a light late fall snow over an airports grass. It is unknown if it depends on the graphics driver or not, or on some user settings. The recommended way to get around this bug is the following: Edit the file FS9\terrain.cfg. Replace all lines MaskClassMap=1 to MaskClassMap=0 and all MaskClassMap=3 to MaskClassMap=0. As it is known by today, this fixes the problem, if not, please contact me at support@fsrail.com . |
