Solltest du einen HP Scanner haben so lade dir die neuste Software dazu runter, mit den mitgeliferten Treibern stimmt was nicht.
Hier ein auszug aus einer Diskuion von denn beschriebenen Fehler: In Reply to: Re: VID_04E6 PID_80000040 posted by Lee Besing on August 05, 2002 at 22:51:24: Did some more searching on another search engine (yahoo) and found 1 link to a HP.com website dealing with business customers. They were complaining about having tried to install the HP 3200C Scanner on a user's W2K workstation, and getting the error message hardware reported for VID_04E6 PID_80002000 HP said the problem was that the software had been installed while not in SAFE MODE. Their instructions were to uninstall all related software, delete all related scanjet* software from the hard drive, especially the c:\scanjet folder, reboot into SAFE MODE, and then reinstall the software. There was also some talk about needing to install it using the USER NAME of the user who would be using it primarily, because HP didn't write the software to be shared by multiple users or over a network. Since W2K sees things in mulitiple user mode, it was important to install that particular driver while the USER NAME of the person using the computer was logged in, not the administrator's ID as an example. I've linked the URL for the particular discussion that led me to this discovery. I just followed their directions to uninstall / reinstall, and now the mysterious device is gone from my system and my scanner is now working. It should be noted, the orignal software CD that comes with the scanner is useless for W2K installation. You must download new software direct from HP's website instead. I've already got it if anyone needs a copy.
