Microsoft has now officially confirmed the intended release date of the latest Flight Simulator: "Year 2003 marks the centennial of the Wright Brothers' first powered flight and the 20th anniversary of Microsoft's Flight Simulator line. Scheduled to land on store shelves July 29, "Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004: A Century of Flight" allows flight enthusiasts to experience the history of aviation and take the controls in 24 aircraft, including nine historic planes.

Flight Simulator 2004: A Century of Flight also introduces an updated, dynamic weather system, enhanced and automatically generated scenery, and detailed visual effects."
