Das glaube ich schon, daß es funktioniert, aber bricht da die Performance nicht ein bißchen ein?

Also glaube ich, daß er auch möglichst viel Leistung aus dem System herausholen will.

Ich hoffe ich störe nicht bei Eurer Diskussion? Sicher kostet es etwas Performance, aber ich glaube nicht das Du ohne Benchmarks einen Unterschied feststellen kannst, also kannst Du sie getrost verwenden.

Pardon the intrusion but this is an interessting thread since I was thinking of buying an Athlon myself.

All tests Ive read clearly states that the Athlon cards are better than Intels Pentium series (not only economical but performance wise also). Athlon seem to be a bit unstable though but according to a swedish company that I consulted, once the hardware setups are complete they should be as troubleless as an Intel.

Anyhow, I also have a question:
Im going to buy a graphic card but I cant seem to be able to make up my mind.
What is the difference between a 32MB card and a 64MB?
What cards are actually compatible with the Sockel A motherboards?

For example InnoVisions Geforce 2 GTS, 64MB seems to run only with Intel processor/motherboards.
Asus Geforce 2 GTS, 32MB recomends and Intel motherboard.
Does anyone have any experiance with these things?

try to answer some questions like

how much is your budget to spend?
what is the main purpose, rather gaming, video or simple office work

which (amd) processor do you prefer
motherboard
dimm or ddr sdram
graphics card

in short, any gts card should run in an amd system

we´ve had here several discussions about this "amd vs intel" topic :
the result is that is rather a religious question, from the economics point of view amd is cheaper, intel lives from its history and great stability of the former "bx" boards
as motherboard i would recommend you epox, msi or abit, but this should be a new thread

Weil es nur in eine Richtung läuft.

Wenn die CPU 100MHz hat, kannst du den Speicher problemlos mit 133MHz laufen lassen.

Umgekehrt geht nicht. Mit einem C Athlon muß man 133MHz generell nehmen.
