PM Sound

Hallo Ihr Cockpitbauer,
habe eine Frage an die Airbusleute die PM und dort die pmsounds nutzen.
PM läuft bei mir auf drei Rechnern einwandfrei, bei pmsounds werden alle Ansagen abgespielt, nur der Sound retard nicht! Habe ABGC, MCDU am laufen, kann es sein das der Sound nur in Verbindung mit der FCU abgespielt wird?
Über Antworten und Hilfen würde ich mich freuen.

If i understand you correct you have PMsounds running but you dont hear anything?

Pmsounds if a program on it self so you dont have to have anything running of PM to get sound working so far i know. It works here for me fine but it could be that you have a problem maybe with your soundcard... AC97 or so could show some probs if iam right but you can see more info about that on the PM site.

There is also a version with lower sounds maybe you can try to use that one and see what happens then...

thanks for your answere, i have pmsounds allready run, and i can here all soundfiles, but not the file retard (Airbus sound short before touch town).
And my question was, what must i to that i can here it ???

Rgr, sorry i misunderstood your lines than..

You maybe have by accident mark the "retard" sound off in the PMsound module?

I am also building a airbus and i am just try to think here if i even hear that one because that is a boeing msg and i am not sure if airbus also use it... but i could be wrong i havent put my pmsounds back yet on my new setup here but i will test it as well and if i have it here i will let you know..

Other option could be the plane ( software ) you use for flying? maybe it could be in there?

Just tested it with PM sounds and i also dont get the msg of retard... so i could maybe be right it isnt on a airbus... but to be sure give me a moment.. friend of mine is airbus pilot and i will ask him if it is there or not so we sure.. will be back on this

Hello Frans,

ok, but i have seen some movies from an Airbuscockpit and in 1999 i made an Airbuscockiptflight by the Lufthansa and you can here short before touch down the voice"retard, retard" and the pilots take the throttle back to idle.
I have also send a question to the supportteam of pm, i will wait and see what he means.

Hello Frans,

i have contact an real Airbuspilot, and he sad that the "retard" sound is in real airbus, and he think it comes after the "20 feet" sound.
So, Enrico write me, that the easyest way is to here this sound, you have to rename the n10.wav to retard.wav and the old retard.wav to n10.wav. I have made it, and it works great !
