Erste Eindrücke PMDG 737NG unter FS9 (englisch-sorry)

After some flights with the 737 under Fs9 I want to share my impressions about this Product.

First of all it must be said that in my opinion there was never such a sophisticated realistic addon-package for a new-released version of
Microsoft FS in such a short time after release.

This helps a lot because the default passenger jets in MSFS everytime are just a case for the trashbin regarding the panel part.

The goodies of PMDG :

- most realistic ground roll behavior I ever saw on MSFS addons without disturbing the inflight-performance (e.g. fuel consumption/climb rate)

- nice choice of free liverys at no extra charge

- realistic VNAV with the limitation of missing Airports (e.g. PHNL) and a known bug in the SID/STARS on the first release wich causes errors in fuel prediction.

- realistic climb/descent rates

- good panel switching by mouse (better than e.g. PSS)

- no dummy switches in the overhead panel

- nice sounds in and out

- Airways and fixes in Nav-data seems to be OK

- Framerates and memory probs good however 1 GB RAM helps alot

- excellent autopilot behaviour and autoland (good as 767PIC in my opinion)


The odds I found maybe patched later (hope):

- electric bug (maybe MSFS fault) however I didn´t found any electrical section in the aircraft.cfg -on APU ops the battery discharged faster than hell wich is disturbing the flight-preps
I inserted the [Electrical] part from the default 737-400 as a workaround and modified the values:

so if all sources except position lights are switched off the battery-drain is reduced to a minimum (more than 30 minutes to 17Volts) .

- the SID/STAR-database is actually poor (the only addon wich has a perfect database in my opinion is PSS A32x) with RNAV SID´s for almost everywhere

- Fuel bug wich prevents me sometimes to fill the left tank to 100%

- Clickspots on MCP are to small on my sys and Display fonts on PFD hardly readable without zoom-mode (17´ Monitor 1024*768)

- registrating the PMDG 737NG is a little difficult and unfortunately it is not possible to pay once and get it running on my desktop and laptop without paying for a second license

Unknow things:

- (minor) in the overhead for the electrical section the blue lights showing source available.
However with engines not running they always lit. In the real plane shouldn´t the lights going on only when the relevant EDG generator is running and ready to be connected same as the ground power available light?

All in all a superb package after the patch !!

Äh, warum schreibst Du das nicht in der Sprache dieses Forums, dann könnte man Dein Problem vieleicht eher verstehen?

Ist nur ne Beschreibung meiner Eindrücke von der 737 PMDG unter FS9.
Original ist im PMDG-Forum und ich war zu faul es nochmal auf deutsch zu schreiben.

Hm, ist die folgende Zusammenfassung der Meinung richtig?

"Kauft Euch den Flieger, da er trotz Macken besser als die von MS oder auch der meisten Mitbewerber ist"

Ich meine, daß es noch nie einen so guten Addon-Flieger in so kurzer Zeit nach der Veröffentlichung einer neuen MSFS-Version gab.

Die PMDG 737NG hat noch Macken (wie bei fast jedem neuen Addon) ist aber bei mir im Gegensatz zum SSW A310 gut fliegbar und eine echte Bereicherung.

Der A310 ist im FS9 bei mir (noch?) nicht zum laufen zu bekommen (Programm stürzt ab.

Zu dem Problem mit dem Auffüllen des linken Tanks stand mal im PMDG Forum, daß man während des tankens die Pause Taste drücken muß, solange die APU läuft.
