ftp und firewall

hi leute,

frage, ich verwende ws_ftp pro und den dreamweaver; für die sicherheit sorgt die norton internet security 2002.

jetzt möchte ich den ftp-dienst verwenden, der selbst dann streikt, wenn ich den programmen alles erlaube. es gibt in den jeweiligen programmen aber auch einstellungen für die firewall. dort hab ich allerdings keine ahnung, was ich eintragen soll bzw. kann. was ist zb der firewall-host? geb ich dort meine standard ip ein, oder die, die ich vom uta adsl zugewiesen bekomme? wenn ich die firewall nämlich deaktiviere funkt alles problemlos, d.h. es muss die wall sein.

nachdem du eine personal firewall verwendest, dann brauchst dort nichts einzustellen ...

diese einstellung dient nur dazu, wenn du einen proxy laufen hast ...

Site Properties, Firewall Tab

Use Firewall. If your PC is behind a firewall host, make sure this option is selected.

To enter the rest of the information on this tab, you'll need to get information about your firewall from your network administrator. Depending on the type of firewall, you'll need the following information.

· For a "SITE hostname" firewall type, you'll need Host Name and User Name (id).

· For a "Transparent" firewall type, you'll need User Name (id) and Password.

· For "USER with no logon" or "Proxy OPEN" firewall types, you'll need the Host Name. (The User Name and Password are ignored.)

· For "USER after logon," "USER remoteID@remoteHost fireID," "USER fireID@remoteHost," or "USER remoteID@fireID@remoteHost" firewall types, you'll need Host Name, User Name (id), and Password.

Host Name. Specify the name or IP address of the firewall.
User ID. Enter the firewall User ID or leave blank if not used.
Password. Enter the firewall password for the specified User ID or leave blank if not used.
Save Password. Select this box only if no one else has access to your WS_FTP folder. Passwords are stored in the WS_FTP.INI file and even though they are encrypted, it is an easy encryption to break.
Port. Specify the firewall port.

Firewall Type. Select the firewall type from the drop-down list.
