Operation Empty Weight

Moin, bei Cargolux-Virtul ist in den Flugplänen immer vom OEW die Rede. Es handelt sich um das Operation Empty Weight. Welches Gewicht ist ds genau?

Hallo Roland,

das OEW beinhaltet das Gewicht des Flugzeuges plus Besatzung und Betriebshilfsstoffe. Nicht enthalten sind das Gewicht für Ladung und Kraftstoff.

Stimmt nicht ganz. OEW ist rein das Flugzeugzeuggewicht ohne Besatzung, Catering etc.

Was Du meinst ist das DOW, Dry Operating Weight (OEW + Crew + Catering + Betriebshilfsstoffe).

Hallo,

danke für die Klarstellung - wieder etwas dazu gelernt. Es scheint mir aber auch bei den Airlines selbst abweichende Definitionen zu geben. Kommt vielleicht auch auf die Quelle an.

Also meine Quelle (A320 FCOM 2.01.10 P1) sagt

Manufacturer´s Empty Weight MEW:
The weight of the structure, power plant, furnishings, systems and other items of equipment taht are considered an integral part of the aircraft. It is essentially a "dry" weight, including only those fluids contained in a closed system (e.g. hydraulic fluid)

Operational Empty Weight OEW:
The manufacturer´s empty weight plus the operator´s items i.e. the flight and cabin crew and their baggage, unusable fuel, engine oil, emergency equipment, toilet chemicals and fluids, galley structure, catering equipment, seats, documents etc.

Dry Operating Weight DOW:
The total weight of an aircraft ready for a specific type of operation excluding all usable fuel and traffic load. OEW plus items specific to the type of flight i.e. catering, newspapers, pantry equipment etc.
