B-T-W:

I am still awaiting the Telecom crew to hook up my splitter & ADSL modem (actually, I'm still waiting for them to call me to arrange for the "Termin"...) - but - I did receive the AON Speed pack and from reading carefully, found out that Alcatel is suppling the hardware:

The modem is called the "Speed Touch Home" and you can find the specs here:
http://www.alcateldsl.com/adslprods.htm
Also, a good place to get the "goods" on xDSL is here:
http://www.dslreports.com/r3/dsl

Last but not least - keep in mind that the splitter will have to be installed no more than 3M from the "main" phone jack in your house/apartment, and this must be BEFORE the ISDN NT - if you have ISDN, plus, a max of 10M between the splitter and modem. After that, you are only restricted to standard 10baseT limitations (100M between nodes).

bye 8^)
