Laut Posting im Matrox Forum dürfte der Matrox Treiber von XFree 4.3.0 fehlerhaft sein und Probleme bei 1024*768 bzw. 1280*1024 haben.

Für Red Hat 9 gibt es eine neuere Revision (10) von XFree 4.3.0 direkt auf den RH Entwicklerserver. Verwendung allerdings auf eigene Gefahr.

Am besten mit einen FTP Client z.b. Internet -> Weitere Applikationen -> gFTP in ein separates Verzeichnis herunterladen
Dann in das Verzeichnis wechseln und
rpm -Uvh *.rpm
