Q: I am unable to access the “Belkin Gateway Router” setup screen, how can I get this to work?
A: Make sure that the Router is ready and that it is detecting that the computer is connected. To verify this the Ready light on the router should be on solid and the light for the port that the computer is plugged into should also be on. If this is correct then all you should have to do is open up your Internet browser and type 192.168.2.1 into the address line and push Enter. If it does not come up with the log in screen then it is not connecting properly with the router. Try a different port on the router or a different CAT5 cable going from the computer to the router and try again. If that still fails, try emptying the Temporary Internet files cache folder and try again. If it still fails hold down the reset button on the back of the router for about 5 seconds or until the lights go out and start blinking. Wait for it to stop blinking and go back to the ready state. Try again to connect. Check the TCP/IP settings for the network card on the computer you are using. It should be setup to "Obtain an IP address automatically", if it isn’t change it and restart the computer. Once it is restarted, try again. If that still does not work type 192.168.2.1:88 into the browser address window.
----------------------------------------------------------------------Q: I am having problems accessing the router or the internet through the router with Win XP, what can be wrong?
A: Win XP has a built in Firewall that may be enabled.

To disable this Click on Start, go to control panel and then network connections. Right click the local area connection and go to properties. Click the advanced tab and uncheck: Protect my computer and network by limiting or preventing access to this computer from the Internet.

If you do not do this it can prevent you from using the router or even accessing the router configuration screen. The reason it causes a problem is the router already has a firewall and the built in firewall can cause a problem.
----------------------------------------------------------------------Q: I just installed Windows XP and now I am not able to access my router's setup utility. What is wrong?
A: Windows XP includes a built in firewall. By default, the firewall is enabled (turned on). In order to use your router, you must turn off the Windows XP firewall. Your router already provides a firewall for you so turning off the Windows XP firewall will not make your system any less secure. Follow the steps below to disable your Windows XP firewall:

1. Right-click on "My Network Places" on the Desktop.
2. Select "Properties" from the menu that is displayed.
3. Right-click on the Local Area Connection icon that corresponds to your network adapter.
4. Select "Properties" from the menu that is displayed.
5. Click the "Advanced" tab.
6. "Internet Connection Firewall" will have a checkmark next to it. Remove this checkmark by clicking it once.
7. Click "OK" to apply the change. Windows will ask you if you want to turn off the firewall. Click "Yes".

You have now successfully disabled the Windows XP firewall. You are still protected by your router's firewall. You should now be able to access your router.
----------------------------------------------------------------------Q: How can I verify that all my Internet browser and computer network settings are correct for use with the router?
A: If you use Internet Explorer:
Go to Start, Settings, Control Panel, Internet Options, Connections, and the LAN Settings button. Clear all checked settings in this window. Then, open your browser and select the Tools menu.
Under Internet Options, click on the Connection tab and make sure that "Never dial a connection" is selected. If possible, remove all the connection settings.

If you use Netscape Navigator:
Go to the Edit menu and select Preferences. Go to Advanced, Proxies, and click "Direct Connection to the Internet."

Also check for the following.

If you are running Windows XP:
Click on My Network Places. Click on view network connections. Right click on the Local Area Connection icon that connects to the Router. Click on the Properties button. click on the advance tab, make sure the internet connection firewall is not checked, click ok,Highlight TCP/IP, then select "Obtain an IP address automatically." Click OK.

Ansonsten versuch noch mal das und mehr fällt mir auch nicht ein:

For Win2000, XP:
1. Go to your control panel and double click on Network Connections (for winXP you have to select Network and Internet Connections, then Network Connections)
2. Right click on your Local Area Connection and go to properties.
3. Double click on Internet Protocol and your TCP/IP properties should open up.
4. Select “Use the following IP address” and type in 192.168.2.41. The Subnet Mask should be 255.255.255.0.
5. For the Default Gateway use 192.168.2.1.
6. Select “Use the following DNS server address”. For the Preferred DNS server type in 4.2.2.1. For the Alternate, type in 4.2.2.2.
7. Click ok, then click ok again and restart your computer.
8. Once the computer is restarted, open your browser and in the address bar type in 192.168.2.1. You will get the router login screen. If you get a screen that says Recovery Micro Code, that means the update didn’t go through and you will need to update it again.

Hoffe Du findest jetzt ne Lösung. Bis dann und jetzt konnte ich mich zumindest mal mit ein paar Infos revanchieren
