ad 1.) Und ein UPGRADE nicht? Sichere auf jeden Fall alle Files die du verändert hast.
ad 2.) Bedingt. Ich habs damals unter SuSE manchmal geschafft, manchmal ging es nicht.
ad 3.) Wenn du rpm -Uhv hernimmst nicht.
ad 4.) make uninstall oder mit rpm entfernen und komplett neu einspielen mit deinen gesicherten Files.
