meines wissens ist trinitron einfach ein geschützer Name von Sony. deshalb verwendet Mitsubishi für die annähernd gleiche Technik den Namen Diamontron.
Mitsubishi dazu selbst:
A. DIAMONTRON is the newest, most advanced aperture grille CRT technology available today. This hybrid tube combines a cylindrical, vertically flat, square-cornered faceplate with an aperture grille design and Mitsubishi’s proprietary P-NX-DBF (Dynamic Beam Forming) electron gun to provide exceptional corner-to corner focus and brilliant edge-to-edge clarity. The DIAMONDTRON CRT, combined with Mitsubishi’s exclusive Digital Chassis design, results in a lighter, more compact enclosure and increased screen performance.
Technik:
A. Instead of using a sheet of metal (as does the shadow mask), fine, tightly stretched wires (aperture grille) align the electron beams with the appropriate phosphors in the CRT. Since an aperture grille allows more electrons to pass through, a brighter image is generated. Contrast is enhanced by using dark tinted glass without compromising image brightness. The result is a sharply detailed image with dynamic colors.
Blicke übrigens selbst auch auf so ein Diamondtron-Ding & muss sagen, bin schon länger damit zufrieden. Eine längere Erfahrung mit Sonys Trinitron kann ich leider nicht vorweisen...
