Q: Is Soulseek finished software?
A: Soulseek isn't finished software at the moment and probably won't be for a very long time. This is mainly because features are constantly added to it, but also because some of existing features could still use some improvement. Soulseek can be considered stable software for most purposes though, just don't be surprised if things don't work perfectly just yet.
Q: How can I run my own Soulseek server?
A: Check out the Server operator's FAQ section for information about running a Soulseek server.

Q: How can I run my own server?
A: To run a Soulseek server, you'll need a Linux box, preferrably on a fast connection. It's also recommended that you run a version of the Linux kernel of the 2.4.x series or later, to avoid having the server overuse the CPU (has to do with the way the poll() call is implemented). Download the server executable here, place it in a directory of its own and execute using:
nohup ./server &...
...und ich sage Dir, Englisch ist nicht das Problem.
