The thing is, FastTrak66 is just the Ultra66 card with a different bios. In other words: SOFTWARE RAID. You can already do that within Linux, anyway. If you doubt that the FastTrak66 and the Ultra66 are the same, take your FastTrak66 to a dealer and ask to look at an Ultra66. The only difference is the BIOS. The same goes for the Ultra33 and the FastTrak33. For Windoze, which doesn't seem to have built-in support for RAID, that's good. For Linux, which does have kernel code for RAID, it's pointless, and a waste of money...note the difference in price between the Ultra66 and the FastTrak66. Also, notice all of the "use at your own risk" notices throughout the FastTrak66 information. I haven't purchased one because I wasn't happy with my FastTrak33, especially after I compared the FastTrak33 and the Ultra33 I also have, swapped the BIOS chips, and turned the Ultra33 into a FastTrak33, and visa versa. It seems that the FastTrak33 (or maybe, just the BIOS) has no ability to deal with soft sector errors occurring on a single drive of a twin pair used in striping mode.

Ciao, Chrisu
