geoSwim a virtual desktop manager. It increases your desktop size to any dimension. Instead of selecting a desktop region like typical vdm's, geoSwim allow you to pan (swim) your visual area.

The geOTile plugin allows you to tile, miminize and restore the application windows displayed on your desktop.
A vitual-desktop-manager (VWM).
This enables you to have more than one "screen" or desktop to use. This means that once you filled up your screen with windows, you can choose another one to work with. Of-course you can always go back to any desktop.
