Ist aus einem anderen Forum, zwar auch keine offizielle Angabe aber zumindest ein guter Anhaltspunkt:

Just for your information I actually work for AMD, most people don't actually believe me. Let me break it by CPU cores and what is officially support.

Old Stuff:
T-Bird Core: will work in SMP but is not officially support, shouldn't have any problems. This core is not optimized to run in SMP mode so in some benchmarks you will see a drop (sometimes really big) in the scores.
Spitfire Core (Durons under 1ghz): will work in SMP but is not officially support, shouldn't have any problems....same as the T-bird core.
New Stuff:
Morgan Core (Durons 1ghz and above): will work in SMP but is not officially support, shouldn't have any problem. BUT unlike the older T-bird and Spitfire cores this one has all the the enhancements that the Palomino core does. Which is optimized for SMP operations. Best band for buck if you are one a budget but want a dual setup...our newest Duron 1.1ghz is a killer deal.
Athlon MP: This is the officially supported SMP chip which is the same as the Athlon XP. Meaning if it doesn't work in SMP mode we will support it and fix it. Only difference from the coming Athlon XP is the XP will be in an organic package instead of ceramic. Other then that the CORES are identical. The Palomino core is totally optimized for SMP support. Current speeds are 1 and 1.2 but on Oct 16th speed grades of 1.3, 1.4 and 1.53 also come out.
Athlon XP: This is the "desktop" version of the MP which is the Palomino core. The only difference is we don't officially support SMP with this chip. The reason for this is it takes long to fully test a chip to ensure its an officially support SMP chip.
