I sent your question over to a friend of mine at philips monitor
division, he told me that this is an undocumented feature of the
monitor. He told me the following. If you press and hold the OSD button
for greater than 20 seconds then the OSD is locked out. If you press and
hold for greater than 20 seconds again it unlocks.
