To convert a FAT partition to NTFS with PartitionMagic 4.x or higher within Windows NT:
1. Open PartitionMagic.
2. Right-click on the partition you wish to convert.
3. Click Convert > Convert FAT or FAT32 to NTFS.
To convert a FAT partition to NTFS with Windows NT converter:
1. Open an command prompt.
2. Type CONVERT X: /FS:NTFS (where X = letter of the drive you are converting to NTFS).
To convert a FAT or FAT32 partition to NTFS with Windows 2000 converter:
1. Open an command prompt.
2. Type CONVERT X: /FS:NTFS (where X = letter of the drive you are converting to NTFS).
