Linux-Bootdisk mit dd und gzip.
Prinzipiell kannst du von jedem Blockdevice ganz einfach ein Image ziegen indem du einfach dd if=<device> of=<file> machst. Mit dd if=<device> | gzip -9 > <file> kannst du das ganze auch komprimieren.
Zurückspielen einfach mit dd if=<file> of=<device> oder halt gunzip <file> > <device>
