Da ich auch gerade nicht in das Forum komme: Wie wird denn dort der Zusammenhang zwischen dem FSX SP1 und einem Flugzeug für den FS9 erklärt?

Dear All,
You have shown great enthusiasm about our current project, the Airbus A320, and we can’t stress enough how your support deeply makes us strive to higher standards in next-gen simulation. However, despite immense motivation and dedicated work, there are times things really don’t go as planned and we feel obligated to share this with you.
First, like many of you may have inferred from various posts and news, we are strongly committed to our partner Microsoft. Trying the best to support the preparation and the launch of FSX, we have not anticipated this commitment would also lead so quickly to SP1 and the additional work to assist in its realization. As a matter of fact, SP1 took more time than anticipated, in order to release a great experience to FSX customers. We long ago decided to offer the Airbus A320 in both FS9 and FSX versions and the changes introduced with SP1 were sometimes so profound in the way to design and model aircraft, as well as in the way to code gauges and interact with Flight Simulator, that we were almost stuck for several weeks until SP1’s final parts came together and was released.
Also, as I’ve previously mentioned, we are operating as a relatively small team, and unfortunately, we have accumulated our respective shares of sickness and personal life matters during the past 12 months up to a point where the entire project’s goals and deadlines shifted significantly. With my own appendicitis and surgery, followed by a serious bout with Pneumonia, which took me out of action for over six weeks, along with other team member’s personal issues, we were dealt a blow to our schedule that we did not anticipate. When this happens, no matter how hard you try, you just can’t overcome the obstacles.
Although we certainly had thought we would be able to catch up on late work and believed our initial goals were still attainable, it simply proved too much. We lost too much time due to the reasons stated above.
In the interim we have also been listening to you, and you have been fabulous in providing great ideas for the product in v1.0, and we have to say that you have voiced some of these ideas so strongly that we have decided to include them in v1.0.
We are certainly not going to be able to reach a release at the end of Q2, although we are not far away now and we sincerely regret not being able to make you experience it sooner. We stay open and we will continue to share as much as we can during development as we feel you do enjoy following development news regularly.
I also know many would like to see the external model and I can assure you we are working toward being able to show more about this side of the project. Please keep in mind some of the design technologies and innovations we are using for the 3D model are important enough not to unveil them all too soon. Also note that in the overall modeling process, the external model accounts for a fraction of the entire modeling, since most of the details and polygons are in the virtual cockpit and cabin. This is not saying the external model will be sub-par to the external model. This is saying that with the same quality and performance goal for both, the external model is not the most difficult or the most time consuming development in the project. We have decided to do the external model after most of the internal model is done; hence the lack screenshots of it so far when compared to the virtual cockpit development previews.
The team is back in full swing now, and we are doing our best to make rapid progress. Although we won’t be able to release and share with you our project until after end of June, you can rest assured that we are not going to sacrifice quality and performance for a deadline, and we strongly hope you will all enjoy what we strive to deliver: a unique Airbus A320 simulation.
I thank you all for your patience and understanding.
Jean-Luc
