Hi,
Michael
All PMDG transaction processing is done in Europe, thus we converted some time ago from USD to Euro as the standard for our eCommerce solution.
Our shopping cart is only capable of showing a single currency, thus it cannot convert to Pound Sterling, US Dollars, etc, on the fly. We are looking at some upgraded technology that will allow this- but for now- it cannot.
The dollar, unfortunately, is in a slump- but you can check on exchange rates easily yourself by googling "exchange rate" if you ever need to.
I just ran a currency converter and it looks like as of 7AM this morning (London) €54.99 is equal to $74.49.
That amount will vary slightly from day to day- obviously- but not by more than a few pennies at a time. Generally when you purchase something on your credit card in a currency denomination other than USD- your card issuer will convert the transaction at "whatever was the most favorable exchange rate on the date of purchase."
This varies a bit from card issuer to card issuer- but for the most part it's a pretty standard process.
